Our Story

Tito’s Promise began long before it became a nonprofit. It began with one man’s heart.

Our grandfather, Tito, was just 12 years old when he arrived in the small town of San Vito, Costa Rica. Growing up with very little, he experienced firsthand what it meant to face hardship, uncertainty, and need.

​

Through determination, hard work, and perseverance, Tito built a life he was proud of. Over the years, he managed coffee plantations, farms, and commercial properties. Together with his wife, Alba, who dedicated more than 30 years to teaching high school students, they raised their three children with the values of honesty, humility, faith, and generosity.

​

But what truly defined Tito was never what he owned—it was what he gave.​ For decades, he quietly helped anyone who needed a hand. Whether it was a family facing difficult times or a child in need, Tito believed that every act of kindness mattered. His greatest joy came each Christmas, when he hosted an annual celebration for more than 100 children, providing meals, gifts, and unforgettable memories for families who otherwise might have gone without.

In 2025, Tito passed away at the age of 77 after courageously battling ALS.

​

His legacy, however, did not end.

​

Today, his grandsons, Aldo and Luciano, together with their grandmother Alba and the support of our family and generous donors, are committed to continuing the tradition Tito began so many years ago.​ Tito’s Promise exists to keep that promise alive.

​

Every donation helps provide hope, joy, and opportunities to children and families in need, ensuring that Tito’s legacy of compassion continues to inspire future generations.

Because kindness never ends, it simply gets passed on.
